Airy and tidy room, with a microwave oven, air conditioner, and an iron. Location next to New Zealand or a Kiwi, places to go for dinner and Kerikeri town centre. The very amiable staff all round...

Our host, Lionel Chambers, could not be more gracious. He attends to every need including sightseeing advice, making guests feel very at home, stimulating conversation and an aboslutely beautiful room which was very tranquil. The grounds are incredible with sweeping lawns, beautiful gardens, fruit trees, birds, swimming pool and fish ponds. Lionel and his partner were kind enough to offer us dinner when we had a delayed arrival. It was so kind of them to open their supper table to us. We easily bonded with them and ended up celebrating Guy Fawkes day with our hosts. They gave us great advice on everythng from restaurants, to sites worth seeing and how to arrange our day. We feel like we have made friends for life and will have a place to stay in New Zealand whenever we can return.

Everything. Lionel greeted us as we stepped out of the car, asked if we would like our bags taken to the room, showed us our lovely room, asked us if we would like to have a table booked at a local resraurant (this was done for us both nights). Rob is the it man and has set up the rooms with a tv linked to their movie library and is a font of knowlage. There is wifi in the room as well as a pc set up fpr guest use. Breakfast was a choice of cooked (Bacon & eggs, tomato, mushrooms), fruit, muscli, fresh juiced oj, coffee or tea. After 3 Busy days going to the Moon Gate Villa for the rest of the day was fantastic. Thank you Lionel & Rob. Dirk and Julie
We were to busy to really appreacite the Moon Gate Villa, there is a large garden still to explore, we will have to go back and check it out.

Everything!! Especially the friendly service we received right from the minute we pulled up down the driveway, our hosts greeted us at the door - even their little pooch :) The room was fantastic, service was outstanding and I wil definitely be recommending to all my friends and family. Next time I am up in Kerikeri again, there will be no other hotel I will stay in but Moon Gate Villa!

My wife and I stayed at Moon Gate Villa for two nights. We were warmly received and throughout our stay were very well looked after. The small cottage that we occupied was very clean and comfortable. We hope to return sometime in the future.

The hotel provided us with a luxurious and exclusive stay, fulfilling our every need. This venue undoubtedly has a stunning garden area, including plenty of sun loungers and beach umbrellas, perfect for a relaxed afternoon. the room advantages were unbelievable, with in-room breakfast and exclusive private facilities. the hotel's breakfast was exceptional, and the outdoor dining area with BBQ facilities is a great dinner option.
The only negative aspect was the absence of outdoor swimming pool, which could have been an excellent addition considering the pleasant weather. this minor issue was immediately resolved by the hotel's fantastic service, friendly and helpful staff, who managed to offer a range of activities as an alternative.

The breakfast was decent and the rooms had comfortable beds. the location was great because it was close to shops and restaurants. they provided information about the area that was helpful for touring around.
The service was terrible. the staff was rude and unhelpful.
